The Big-Point is a 3d printable Hi-Point frame compatible with the 40s/w JCP and 45acp JHP model pistols. It is notable for being one of the first pistol builds able to withstand the 4acp cartridge.
A reasonably easy to print frame, the Hi-Point's design makes it very well suited to 3d printing. No third party rails or other parts are required and parts are generally cheaper than that of other, better pistols.
The Big-Point isn't as popular as its sister frame the Lo-Point and its design has yet to enjoy refinement from the community post-release. It's big, it's ugly, and firing it is uncomfortable, just like its parent weapon.
todo never built one myself
Hi-Point parts kits are commonly found on GunBroker. JCP and JHP kits are rarer than their 9mm counterparts and they tend to be slightly cheaper too.
The Big-Point has one known derivative, an unnamed frame that claims to fix pin locations in the pain receiver:
A small number of minor Hi-Point accessories exist on Thingiverse but most are geared towards the c9.
A sight mount was included with the release. Grips that claim to be 95% compatible can be found in the "Big-Point Stuff" derivative.
